The crab gets out of the bucket by climbing on others who are already working their way up together, pushes them back while going, claims to succeed on their own effort, leaves without helping. Won't even turn back to pay respects. No crab can climb the bucket on their own.

I had to read the comments to figure this is probably a metaphor on society (people don't want you to succeed) and not some metaphor on some situation about not knowing that being on top means you're the first to get cooked
