"These are not nuclear explosions. These are what we call non-critical explosions."

FYI he's referring to nuclear "criticality," e.g. testing the non-nuclear explosives placed around core. To simplify, the yellow stuff here:

Fat Man Bomb

...That is totally fine. It's a good idea.

It's also a great escape from what Trump said. If you're energy secretary under Trump, this is exactly how you get out of this (and just hope Trump doesn't notice).

It's great that conservatives have placed us in a position where we have to just kind of hope that the ramblings of a felon rapist acting as president don't become anything more than ramblings.

We can't take anything our "leader" says seriously.

"We're testing nukes!!!"

"Ok, grandpa. Time for bed."

But Kamala laughed funny and people were really upset about that single issue. So here we are. Crossing our fingers a felon rapist doesn't irradiate the planet.

What an odd thing to say unprompted.

Not really unprompted and likely in relation to Trump's recent statements that the US would restart nuclear weapon tests.

I believe it. We don't seem to plan before doing things anymore

So they are totally planning nuclear explosions. Everything is opposite day with these clowns.

Unplanned nuclear explosions however...
