[โ€“] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago (3 children)

What site is that? I have lost most of my faith in BOM

[โ€“] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 3 points 3 days ago

The witch is right, I use the Windy app. I gave up on the BOM years ago because I got sick of it bricking my phone all the time.

Maybe windy.com ? link I use that for radar - its sooo much better cos easily scrollable and you get a 1 hour replay. BOM is still good for forecasts etc. I reckon.

I have finished my last uni assignment. Hopefully enough to pass the unit, I really didn't put much effort into it, I've completely lost interest!

It's a terrible day to choose to have the oven on, but I have lamb roast for dinner & can now play games for the rest of the day guilt free. Horizon Zero Dawn here I come.

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago

Yeah, I'm tryna kick a cert3 over the line with as little effort as possible.

I cannot be bothered. I have somehow done Things but no more today.

I feel this in my bones.

I bought a mini cooler and it works well.

We've only got a few more hours of absolutely top/prime/beeyoutiful laundry drying weather before the storms set in. Get out of bed and make the most of it you lazy mongrels.

[โ€“] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I think Iโ€™ve missed it, really been struggling today

[โ€“] TheWitchofThornbury2@aussie.zone 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

It's OK, we'll forgive you. No star though.

That 3 km walk in bad boots last week really fucked up my back, I was nearly in tears by the time i got home. Had to rest up a lot this. :(

On a positive note I have improved my PT exercises. :)

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

too scared to even try the boots with the new cushions ,

on a positive note I have 2 pairs of hiking sandals for warm weather

not snek proof tho and where I walk has many sneks , not that I have seen any, will use sandals and stomp around

[โ€“] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Yeah thatโ€™s sensible. Boot cushions can be tried around the house first if youโ€™re ever ready? Though I wouldnโ€™t blame you for sticking to sandals/sneakers forever

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 6 points 3 days ago

it's warm and blustery out there

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago

went to beach, took 45 minutes walking around the reserve to be relaxed enough to even start to hear the birds

but when I did they were wonderful :)

I like the little red capped plovers , the yellow robins and the wrens the best. Those wrens are so territorial and are constantly telling me to wrack off

so many dogs at the beach too , all very happy and having a great doggy time ( this is not a beach I would swim at, just sayin' )

Last zonk day. Next week I'm prepping to go back into work mode.

Means getting up at 7am, getting some work ready in advance so I can hit the ground running.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 3 days ago

Sounds like a plan.

Goodnight all โค๏ธ

Iโ€™ve been dawdling all morning. Might go get a coffee and dawdle in the museum

Starting to digitise me vinyl. Most of it is sort of 1998-2004 electronic.

But ran into a 1962 recording (so 63yr old record!) of a memorial concert thing my ol' boy has from his old school. Pretty impressive they could fit 58 minutes on a single record. Thought it was going to be a bunch of kids making shit noises but it was actually very very polished (and very professionally recorded). The funny thing is that they overdubbed applause after each song, like canned laughter, but seriously over the top clapping lol and it's the same sample every time.

So I'm going to sample it and try and chuck it in a choon I think to keep that energy alive today.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 3 days ago

I love this. :)

Decided to add one more song to the set. The needle and the damage done by Neil Young.

Perfect closer to the night.

That's gotta be one of the top ten haunting songs ever written. That and his Alabama. Remember listening to it for the first time when the Harvest album came out - socked me in the guts then and still does now.

Work funded trip to the museum today as well. It's meant to be a hot one so good timing. I wonder if we'll get a seat at the star wars cafe

So the water on the Bellarine gradually rusts out moka pots no matter what it seems. What would be the next best coffee creator? Not a fan of plunger, and pods are pretty wrong for the environment. I was thinking a American style percolator but that's probably going to be pretty unsatisfactory....

I don't know if it's the antivirals or just my body doing its thing, but I'm actually feeling a lot better! My fever is gone (even though this weather is making me think it's still there) and I'm still a bit tired, but more or less fine! I think I will be able to properly get out of bed today, my biggest achievement all week :)
