/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Never too old to trick or treat. I 100% hand candy to adults stopping by.

Was walking with my nieces/nephews and hit a house that was handing out Jell-O shots for the adults! Good people.

That’s the attitude of someone who understands.

lol, I just gave some JWs candybars. Resisted the urge to complement the cosplay.

My face to the clerk when I put the two-pound Hersey bar on the conveyer belt:

You should switch to Tony's. Much better chocolate.

I’m referring to an actual event during my teens. I’ve learned better since.

Day after for highly discounted seasonal candy. Mostly Recees's pumpkin cups.

I'm still slowly working through my Peeps hoard.

It's okay to take breaks, peeps recover strength and freshness in the microwave or a standard sprengel-powered vacuum chamber

I am middle aged and went trick or treating with my wife last night. We just walked around a neighborhood we used to live in and said hi to all the neighbors, especially the ones who lived there when we did.

Nonsense. I still go trick or treating with my kid. You just have to step up your costume game.

The fun of Hallowe'en was and is dressing up and having fun, at least for me. The candy and such are just bonus!

Setting up to give out candy can be just as much fun. Although I might have overdone it this year. Got lots of leftovers.

I’ve definitely been afraid of that in recent years. Historically I’ve taken it as an opportunity for my own celebration and health be damned, but so much candy has gotten bad enough that I just don’t enjoy it.

And no I can’t afford good candy for hundreds of screaming kids who will never know the difference.
