Elon Musk famously cites the late British sci-fi novelist Iain M Banks as an influence.

As a General Systems Vehicle myself, I feel quite certain that if Banks were still around and met Musk for some reason, Iain would tell him to eat shit and die, given all the absolutely fucking awful things he’s done and helped to enable.
