Moderator Guidelines
Moderator Guidelines
- Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
- Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
- When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
- Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
- Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
- Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
- Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
- Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
- Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
- Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
- Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
- Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
- First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
- Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
- No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
- Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
- Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
As a bi person, I confirm they're related
It's actually wild how accurate it is
Anyways

MILF.
Spoiler
(Man I love frogs)
OMG, that was the best spoiler of all time
I don't like frogs, that's why I'm not bi.
I wouldn't say you are a completely bad person but not liking frogs sure is a stain on your biography.
No, they aren't bi. A stain on their straightography
Or homography
So true
Or monograph (shout out to my ace peeps!)
yes they are
I'm not bi but I like frogs...
So.... I have nothing here. I'm at a ~~:.|:;~~
LMFAO
Double take on Unicode loss
That way of writing loss is ingenious
Perhaps the confounding factor is neurodiversity? Anecdotally, a lot more neurodiverse people seem to be LGBT and vice versa.
My suspicion is that neurodiverse people are already used to feeling marginalized and unacceptable for invisible reasons, so there's less of a social barrier-to-entry in coming out. Like, "Everybody already thinks I'm weird and doesn't want to hang out; might as well tell 'em I'm queer."
I think there are probably a lot of neurotypical people that have non-heteronormative impulses and try to quash them for the sake of social status.
I give it, say 2 weeks, until the bi-frog meme barrage
While I like most animals, I wouldn't say frogs are my favorite. I find bugs and snakes more interesting generally, but frogs are undeniably cool. Is my bi pass revoked, or do I get a pass?
They're changing the rules next month where you can't get your bisexual card unless you own 12 frog items, have a pet frog, are into anthropomorphic frogs sexually, or have ever tried to fuck a frog.
The criteria of being attracted to multiple genders still applies, but the frog addendum means it will no longer be the only requirement.
😭😭😭
It ain't called amphi-bisexual for nothing!
I don't think they have to be your favorite you just gotta love em
Whoa, there. Calm down. We need to find out their view of Kermit and Miss Piggy relationship before anyone hands out some free passes!!
Ms Piggy was not exactly a ‘beard’ in the relationship, let’s just call it ‘complicated’. Kermit was clearly roomates with Fozzie. Sometimes they would all get Sweetums tipsy at the pool and things would get real fuzzy.
No no no, but you don't get the extra stamp...
I like frogs. I think there's a part of me I need to explore...
Alex Jones, is that you?
How can anyone watch that guy and take him seriously? Dude's fucking psycho.
He's only one in a long succession. Rush Limbaugh came before him, and many others (KnowledgeFight did a few episodes on this).
yup
Huh, well, i do indeed like frogs
Tbh, I don't know that I've ever met a straight Lexi, I'm sure they exist though
I don't especially like frogs, and I'm a lesbian, so... shrug emoji?
No but the double denim may correlate
They shouldn't, but they are.
"i have a weird question for u"
"i am laughing my bum off. what is up!"
like - really? why? is it sooooo funi that u lose ur bum or is it like - just a thing peeps say like "yooooo", "..,.,.,,.,.." and "skibidi"?
its like peeps sweari g for no reaosn jus to make thwir statements feel like they got more weight - or politicians making topucs always a matter of national security and integrity or whatevr---
not eeeeeeverythin is sooooo funi that u lose ur bum. im kinda happy i still have mine, as sitting is one of my fav pasttimes <3
and then like -
"ur bisexual, right?"
"HAHA"
like - i thought we were over the times were a sexuality is a funi..... we prolli r but like - these messages jus feel soooo - stilted and false...
It's not to be taken literal here, it's called semantic bleaching. Just saying 'lmao' (or 'lol') doesn't mean it actually made them laugh, it's just added to make the convo a little less serious :)
hmm - mayb inma try tha sometime -
laughing my bum off🤣🤣🤣🏥🚑😵😢😔😔😔🩸🪦, laughing out loud 🗣️🔊
