Explanation: During Sherman's March To The Sea during the US Civil War, Union troops gathered in the statehouse of Georgia once the state capital was taken and held a mock vote repealing Georgia's 'secession' from the Union.

Not to come off as a confederate sympathizer, but I'm moderately certain they'd have has some rules about needing a quorum of elected representatives or some such.

Love him or hate him, Sherman was a military visionary of the time. His bold plan and savvy execution to disrupt and destroy the opponent's strategic depths became part and parcel of modern industrial warfare. I've always wondered what if Sherman hadn't been "cured" from his insanity at all.
