What is Inktober?

Inktober is an annual month-long event when a prompt word will be posted for each day of October.

What is Inktober 52?

Inktober 52 is what happens during the months that aren't October. A new prompt will be posted once a week (typically Thursdays.)

How do I join in?

Simply draw by hand something based on or inspired by the prompt word. It can be inked traditionally (on paper,) or with a digital "ink" brush. The drawing can be anything from a simple doodle to an elaborate illustration. The color of the ink is negotiable.

This is a cozy drawing :)

I've never caught fireflies in a jar myself, as I lived in a city well away from where fireflies could be found, and by that time insect populations were starting their decline anyway. This drawing, though, evokes a sense of nostalgia of a time when simple delights such as this were still widely accessible.

I've never seen fireflies either (don't know if they were ever common around here) but I would've loved to catch some in a jar as a kid, and then release them of course.
