Hostilities reignited on Monday, however, when Duffy told CNBC that Musk’s SpaceX was falling “behind” the administration’s timeline for returning to the moon and that he was going to allow other companies to compete for the government contract to do so.

“We’re not going to wait for one company,” said Duffy, who is also serving as the acting administrator of NASA. “We’re going to push this forward and win the second space race against the Chinese. Get back to the moon, set up a camp, a base.”

Musk has not taken kindly to Duffy’s remarks.

First, he responded to Duffy’s tweet with a GIF of a famous exchange in which an African anchor asked a guest, “Why are you gay?”

Then, he took a shot at Blue Origin, SpaceX’s Jeff Bezos-owned rival. "Blue Origin has never delivered a payload to orbit, let alone the Moon"

There is no honor amongst oligarchs who view themselves as being granted a position at the top of the food chain by divine intervention. That's why the rules that they make to control all the little people below, never actually apply to them.

Elon/DOGE served as the public face of responsibility when he took a chainsaw to the government during Trump's second administration. However, Peter Thiel had already begun strategizing everything that DOGE took the blame for during Trump's first administration.

During Trump's first administration, Thiel inserted his former employee (Michael Kratsios) to help out with technology in the White House. Kratsios is now Trump's Science Advisor despite having no actual qualifications for the position (what a fucking surprise). The ousting of Elon began right around the time Kratsios received Senate confirmation.

Basically, Thiel set Musk up to take the public blame, then once again, ousted him in a coup just like he did at PayPal. Now Thiel is receiving very shady government approval to open the first U.S. crypto bank, and Elon's contracts are being cancelled.

A recent history of media narrative control and how quickly the reality being created and fed to the American public can change in a few months:

And on Tuesday, he continued his volley of attacks, deeming Duffy “Sean Dummy,” accusing him of trying to “kill NASA,” and arguing that “The person responsible for America’s space program can’t have a 2 digit IQ."

"Sean Dummy?" Really?...🙄

Idk if it's "toxic empathy" or what, but knowing he almost definitely has cPTSD and untreated mental illness, (which Thiel has publicly joked about convincing him to not seek therapy for) sometimes I almost feel bad for this guy.

Or, I guess I at least feel bad for the part of him that is still very much a child stuck under his abusive father, and acting out so desperately to gain a sense of control while being oblivious to his own manipulation by abusers like Thiel.

He is an adult and can afford all the therapy and other help. Not all that he needs, literally every single therapist.

Fuck him.

Pretty often the people who need therapy the most, will find any excuse to avoid it regardless of finances, even if it's being offered for free. I think the world would have way fewer assholes capable of dissociating and pretending their actions haven't directly caused harm to millions of innocent people, if mental wellness wasn't treated differently than anything else health related. Everybody could benefit from a regular checkup, but just like any other health issues, if you get seriously injured or break a bone, the chances it will heal correctly without a professional helping you, are very slim.

But if more people did go to therapy, it would get in the way of a lot of evil plans. That's why the right tends to discourage their supporters from both therapy and empathy. Honest self reflection is not conducive to the success of people who rely on delusional narratives and sycophants to convince people that they're not the villain in the story they're creating.

Well yeah, but a big part of this is that Elmo is not the world's greatest engineer. He's not even an engineer. Every technical proposal he has made (coming from himself) is completely insane, and most of the words coming out of his mouth have been lies.

We all remember the human milestone when we set foot on Mars in 2018, right? Elmo claimed SpaceX would do so by then, and then it was 2019, 2020 for sure, absolutely in 2021 and... Well you get the gist of it.

Meanwhile SpaceX hasn't been able to even get out of low earth orbit. SpaceX falcon 9 rockets at least can get some cargo there but that's about it. That laughable starship still hasn't been able to get beyond LEO, if it wouldn't explode in the first place. It hasn't been able to get ANY cargo... Wait, that's a lie. It managed to transport a banana to the Indian ocean.

Meanwhile loads of them have exploded and no real progress has been made. Mind you, NASA did this successfully in the 1960's. Think about this: Elmo hasn't been able to recreate what we already were able to do 60 odd years ago. Hell, even the reusable rocket stuff isn't new and was abandoned in the 90s because it's just not feasible. Rockets have too little mass available for things like engines being engineered in a way that you can reuse them multiple times without a complete rebuild every time you use them. This is all old tech, and he isn't even close to the point where we were back in the 60's or 90's

Elmo constantly lying his ass off about everything isn't helping anyone either, except of course for himself.

Elmo was now paid 3 billion dollars of tax payer dollars to take us to the moon and he's still stuck at about 1% of the complexity and problems that need resolving. Rocketry is severely complicated and reaching low earth orbit is the "easy" part that we can do reasonably well these days. Going to the moon is already huge leaps and bounds forward and he's not even close to getting there. The US citizens paid musk 3 Billion dollars and got nothing. Normally that would piss people off but this is Elmo Musk so he lies a bit more and I'm sure he'll get more money because he always does.

Now compare that to going to Mars. The amount of problems to solve to get a human safely and alive to Mars, and keep them alive there are sorta at the edge of human knowledge. I think we can technically do it, but Elmo and his companies certainly cannot, that should be clear by now. It's like needing to be Usain Bolt, but you're still a baby in diapers and you only just now managed to crawl.

So now we have the falcon 9 rockets that can sort of get to LEO, and we have starship, which more and more seems to be a dead end.

My point of all this is that people should stop listening to musk altogether. The guy is a fucking drug junkie idiot who got lucky a number of times in a row. He got fired from his own company for incompetence FFS, he is a know drug junkie, he constantly lies about every project he does (seriously, try to find a single project of his that he didn't blatantly lie about capability wise) so why are people still listening to him, why are they taking him even remotely seriously?

Elmo is a conman, period.

I think people should stop listening to anyone involved in this administration because they're all conmen

Small correction, the last Starship launch managed to get some Starlink simulators into orbit. Because that's what they're for, getting more Starlink sats up, because everyone at Starlink knows they're burning money like there's no tomorrow.

Starship isn't for going to the moon, and never was.

this mofo deserves all the mental and emotional anguish and suffering he gets for all the harm he has caused

I don't say this as an excuse for him, or to downplay his actions, but from my own experience with abusive people who refuse to go to therapy.

I feel like if many of the people like this (globally) would just go to therapy and work on themselves, instead of convincing themselves they've got it under control as they re-enact the garbage they were taught, and the maladaptive strategies they learned to cope, there would be less anguish and suffering inflicted upon other people.

You can still believe he's an evil asshole, and legitimately he personally enabled what is being done to him by hurting other people. I just wish people could see the very clear pattern in the cycle of abuse and narcissism that almost always finds a way to repeat itself unless it's addressed head on.

No sympathy for billionaires. Let him buy his own.
