Happy 4th, Fediverse. Whatever that number does or does not mean to you.
I use it as am arbitrary benchmark to measure my life: am I better or worse off than this time last year? Most people use Jan 1st for that, but I am not a bandwagonner.
The week of the 4th of July has been a significant date several times in my life. So it persists.

How are you doing? Are you better, or worse, or the same as this time last year?

What is your plan for the coming 12 months?
