I'm a bit baffled at how this qualifies as a "creative device". There's half a sentence mentioning video editing, is that it?

I dont know. Maybe? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

The bigger problem though is that buying this ensures you give money to Microsoft

To be fair, the old DOS-based versions of Windows were started by typing "win" at the command prompt.
