October 18, 2025 -- Seaforth! Saturday

  • Brush: Wald Nimbus Bloodline 27mm J3
  • Razor: Tanifuji Spalding 0411 6/8" Full Hollow
  • Lather: Spearhead Shaving Company - Seaforth! Spiced - Soap
  • Toner: Thayers - Coconut - Toner
  • Aftershave: Spearhead Shaving Company - Seaforth! Spiced - Aftershave

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

I always think that I neglect Spiced in favor of my other Seaforth scents but the puck tells a different story. This scent is terrific and I clearly have enjoyed using it. The Tanifuji is both good looking, and a great shaving razor. I totally enjoyed today's shave.

We posted within 1.5 minutes of each other. What are the chances?! (pretty good, apparently)

I am slowly moving myself back to morning shaves in preparation for BBS November so, I'll probably be posting around this time for a little while.

  • Brush: AP Shave Co. - w/Maggard SHD 26mm Badger
  • Razor: Chiseled Face Legacy Raw Titanium - (#69)
  • Blade: Personna Lab Blue (4)
  • Lather: Barrister and Mann - Roam Two - Soap
  • Post Shave: Tabac - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Nivea - Sensitive - Balm

Great soap. I like this knot and might transfer it to a new Rad Dino handle that's sitting empty.

Absolutely the sort of thing that I procrastinate. I have three knots sitting in a drawer waiting for handles, and I have one brush with a knot that needs to be removed.

  • Brush: Zenith/Stirling - 510SE-XL 31mm Boar
  • Razor: J. Koester's Sons 11/16", full hollow, square point (14)
  • Lather: Fanzine Saponifications - Caravaggio - Soap
  • Post Shave: Summer Break Soaps - Steady - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Oleo & Co. - Facial Toner - Toner
  • Fragrance: Stirling - Noble Man - EdT

I stropped this razor before my shave for the first time since it was honed (25 linen, 50 leather). Surprisingly, I got worse results after three passes than yesterday. I think my lather may have been worse today, and my technique felt a little all over the place.

Steady works nicely with Noble Man, which is a dupe of Creed's Millsime Imprial. It's a nice woody, fruity combo that's perfect for a sunny Saturday.

Have a good one!

Apparently I have some more character filtering to do in the auto-post logic.

  • Brush: AP Shave Co. Snakeskin w/ 26 mm Silksmoke Flattop/Fan hybrid knot
  • Razor: Leaf Thorn
  • Blade: Derby Premium half DE
  • Lather: Chiseled Face - Ghost Town Barber
  • Post-Shave: Zingari Man - The Master recovery splash
  • Passes & Info: 2 passes, head shave; good shave.

Again a head shave I did before my late shift. Almost forgot to post this one.

This is a great combo that works very well for me. Chiseled Face's base is as easy to lather as Stirling for me. It's a bit annoying how fast my leftover hair regrows - I suspect it's the biotin supplement I take. Unfortunately neither that nor any other treatments showed any effect on the bald/patchy spots in my beard. 😵
