No, this is very common even without any linguistic similarities because people don't notice the signs or sometimes the door handles signal the wrong orientation
So idk who made that door but it looks like the door closing mechanism would block the door from opening if it opened outward. I thing that would be on the inside. The hinges look like they open outward and match the handle. Not sure who's to blame but I don't know if the door actually can open at all.
