Democrats say that Attorney General Pam Bondi’s massive overhaul of the Justice Department “will take decades to recover from,” in the wake of a contentious Senate hearing with Bondi this week.

Bondi’s defensive and combative attitude during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday, in which she repeatedly refused to answer Democrats’ questions, has left many concerned about the future of the department.

Under Bondi’s leadership, more than 4,500 Justice Department employees have left, task forces dedicated to probing criminal activity have been disbanded, resources have been re-allocated to support Trump’s targeting of political opponents and more.

We may never properly recover from our present state of affairs. We'll be something that isn't this country anymore.

dems: "we were given at least a decade of fair warning that republicans would cannibalize the country. we even got a hundreds of page layout in print. we didn't care and for whatever reason are pretending to care now."

more like decades of warning, and Experimentation: see florida, texas, and the rest of the south. instead of chatising the boogeyman the likes of aoc, Madhami, and BERNIEs of the future.

Oh fuck right off. They presented Project 2025 to the people and they didn't vote against it. Hillary literally told us Trump was a Russian puppet in the biggest stage she had and we (collectively) didn't listen.

We all allowed propaganda to destroy us. You didn't do any better about it than the Dems did.

DNC is the codependant party of the gop, it requires gop to fuck up for most DNC to be electable. and vice versa, but in reverse for the gop. the gop depends on the DNC having a propsperous economy in order to rail on it to get elected. hence thats why they are the uniparty.

This is such bullshit. If Trump can make these sweeping changes why can't we just sweeping changes them back? Wtf is this "it'll take decades" bullshit they keep spouting. Oh, that's right, it's because there a fucking do nothing party that's also culpable for this bullshit in the first place because of said do nothing attitude.

It will take decades because the impartial talented people have left for greener pastures. All that's left are sycophants and people with little experience that can't pursue careers in other fields. You can't just get all that experience back overnight. If you purge all these people, then there's no one left. You have to start from scratch.

Then destroy it the rest of the way. Seriously, the people that are going to be left after this tectonically idiotic episode ends - and whether or not it ends is far from a sure thing - are going to be worse than having no DoJ at all. I’m completely serious. There is not going to be any redemption for a judicial department that has been corrupted into a device solely focused on political persecution. It will need to be killed and recreated from scratch.

Building takes far longer than destroying. You're just wrong.

So do something. That’s why we voted for you.
