Guess the doc from Voyager is still around. That's cool.
Star Trek
Welcome to a Star Trek community where you’re free to chat and share your opinions about all things Trek!
I want to have a place where fans can come to praise, discuss, and even criticise things in the Star Trek franchise. No show or movie is perfect, and I don't believe people should be silenced for having a dissenting opinion. That being said, there are still a few rules.
Be Nice - No personal attacks. You can disagree with someone's opinion, but it needs to stop there.
No Slurs - This is applicable to ethnicity, religion, gender, or anything else.
No Adult Content - Keep it family friendly.
No Spamming or Trolling - Consistently spamming comments or trolling is just not needed.
Keep Topics Trek Related - This is a Star Trek community, so of course discussion should stay in that area! That means no real world politics.
I'm curious to see if they've had him functioning that whole time, or if his program was offline for a while. I notice he doesn't have his mobile emitter on too, so either they've changed the design or they have emitters all through the ship. Or maybe he's made of the programmable matter they came up with for Discovery!
Wouldn't it make more sense if he was an actual human the doctor was modeled on or something.
There is beta canon where he successfully manages to advocate for the rights of all the other reprogrammed EMHs (they ended up working in a mine or something) so if they make that cannon then it would make sense that he would be able to get a teaching position.
Yes, I think it was a dilithium mine that they showed in that episode! I've never read much of the books, but that would be an interesting concept.
they need a proper post-voyager ARC, picard does not count. but they messed it up with the picard series.
There's a lot of potential in a show like this. Hopefully they don't squander it.
Based on the teasers we've seen it might not be for me, but I'm willing to try it and see! I agree though, there's the potential for a lot of stories that might not have fit in well with the rest of the shows.
I just hope they don't turn it into a YA teen fantasy.
Yes, that's one of the main reasons I'm thinking it might not be for me! They may be targeting that age group with this show though, so I guess we'll see what happens.
i dont feel for this, much like the other series that are subpar(besides LD and prodigy), too much spinoffs, and no coherence between the series, or continuity. also the bad writing by KURTZMAN.
Is it just me but this looks like ai slop.
What does that even mean though? Calling something slop doesn't mean anything it just means you're being dismissive of it.
What specifically about it do you not like?
I think its that sepia tone thats prevalant in ai videos, plus the people in it seem a bit off,if that makes sense.
It's posted by the official Star Trek channel so I'm confident that it's the real thing.
