Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Really? Baffled?

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 3 points 54 minutes ago

This is what it takes to be baffled?

[–] SPRUNT@lemmy.world 19 points 4 hours ago

Republicans who voted for RFK Jr. baffled by jingling keys.

[–] Catma@lemmy.world 16 points 5 hours ago

They are not baffled by it, they are upset they have to answer questions about it.

With Trump since so much is in random press conferences and Truths they can pretend they didnt see it or read it. RFK presents a problem in that if he is speaking its not the norm. Hand to Goddess I doubt I could name a single other HHS secretary. Even during Covid I have 0 idea who ran HHS which feels like the only time I should have fucking known who it was.

The only outcome of this is that at least circumcision will finally become less popular in America.

Bottom line, republicans will have to start inspecting all penises.

They already had to start looking at all kids naked to ensure they are healthy, but its expanding to adult males now too.

I hope all the republicans out there are proud of this outcome.

In addition, Kennedy said that infant boys who are circumcised have double the rate of autism.

But Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), who voted to confirm Kennedy both in the Senate Finance Committee and on the Senate floor, expressed confusion.

“That’s new,” he told The Independent after chuckling.

HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!

I don’t know why “journalists” don’t ask him about aliens and the secret space program. He has thoughts. More than a few of them.

Stupid gonna stupid

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 48 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

He really said the woman had a baby in her placenta?!

If someone is that fucking incompetent, they need to be fired from their job

[–] Aganim@lemmy.world 21 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

It's almost as if he is just a Trump lackey without the slightest idea of what he's talking about..

I do wonder how many hours you need to microwave yourself to get a crispy, dried out face like that by the way.

[–] mister_flibble@sh.itjust.works 6 points 5 hours ago

Bro looks so much like an old leather couch that Vance is gonna start sending him "u up??" texts at 1am.

[–] rayyy@piefed.social 8 points 10 hours ago

No, no, no. Incompetence is a prime qualification for this regime. Stupidity also required. Insanity is a bonus.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

Make sure to also fire his brain worm. I bet that critter is on the payroll.

Is he demonstrating how to perform a circumcision?

[–] vividspecter@aussie.zone 4 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Seems like he's currently receiving one.

[–] mikenurre@lemmy.world 22 points 11 hours ago

They could vote to remove him... If they had a spine.

[–] tla@lemmy.world 7 points 9 hours ago

How is it many on the right do not understand the concept of correlation and causation and that both may exist independently or concurrently? I guess denying science in order to pedal conspiracy theories based on ignorance may have something to do with it.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 7 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I think about any sane person is baffled by the sheer stupidity coming from this guy.

[–] whiwake@lemmy.cafe 6 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I’m questioning the number of sane people these days.

[–] Australis13@fedia.io 2 points 2 hours ago

I was already questioning it a decade ago, but the last few years have really made me feel like I'm in the minority...

[–] ArenaCops@infosec.exchange 3 points 10 hours ago

@vegeta RFK Jr. is the reason a new impeachable offense will be introduced: Brain worms!

An offense with the potential to sink whole "Trump admins"!
