Yea, I do this far too often.

All the freaking time. Like my brain is like "hey! I'm going to talk! I like talking!" And then suddenly turns on itself and is all "what where you thinking dumbass!? You are just going to make an idiot of yourself again" So then I delete my comment and scroll on. Trying to be better on lemmy so here is my comment.

You did well, thank you for contributing.

Thats the cool thing about lemmy. We upvote anything. A can of beans is on the all time top posts.

I'm doing my part

[–] hiyaaaaa23@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

Man I love this platform

I experience less rejection sensitivity since I'm on Lemmy/Kbin. I don't know why, exactly, but one reason may be the lack of karma. And some Lemmy instances don't even have downvote system.

lack of karma

kbin does have karma though, yours is at 1505 right now.

But the fact that it's hidden inside the profile page, instead of appearing at the username like on Reddit, makes it almost invisible.

Right now, Lemmy is much more supportive than Reddit, hopefully we'll stay that way. We're just happy to have anyone posting so we can comment and upvote

Really, this is what you went with?

jk, well done. I'm totally not placating you! It's really good!

[–] Track_Shovel@slrpnk.net 5 points 2 years ago

I downvoted you just to feed that anxiety.

good meme, though.

I had the same worry but my first post on Lemmy got more traction than I thought it would! Just post about beans and you’re golden …

[–] andrew@lemmy.stuart.fun 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Add to this wanting to do just about anything putting yourself out there, amirite? 😅

Edit: idk about you but somehow comments seem way easier for me to put out there.

[–] DopamineDevourment@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The problem with commenting for me is that I have no idea what to say most of the time. I’m always afraid I’ll say something irrelevant or offensive.

[–] Tacocuted@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 2 years ago

You're doing great.

[–] LegendofDragoon@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Man, I get this all the time, it sucks lol.

[–] Hank@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago
