Ah those MAGA cucks love getting fucked by Trump. It gets them off.

They'll complain and then tomorrow go "Yes daddy"

[–] stringere@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 hour ago

never felt more betrayed

So far...

[–] ShittDickk@lemmy.world 32 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

I remember what happened the last time US trained middle eastern pilots in the late 90s / very early 2000s

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 11 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Wow, was it something spectacular, eye opening, and thought provoking?

[–] boaratio@lemmy.world 6 points 2 hours ago

It was a cash cow for the defense industry.

[–] W3dd1e@lemmy.zip 35 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

Just checked r/Conservative and they seem completely unfazed. They literally do not care.

[–] Seleni@lemmy.world 6 points 1 hour ago

Yup. These stories are just copium articles for the left so we keep letting this shithead do whatever he wants.

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 15 points 2 hours ago

Any time I see one of these "MAGA revolts" stories, AND/OR an article from rawstory.com, I know I can ignore it.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 45 points 14 hours ago (2 children)

For what legitimate purpose could Qatar have to put a military facility on Idaho? And Trump and Hegseth have absolutely no legitimate reason to allow it. Clearly payback for the bribery of the Plane and future bribes.

[–] olympicyes@lemmy.world 15 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

More importantly, they probably bought unknown quantities of his $TRUMP crypto.

[–] Wispy2891@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago

Don't need to mess with shady crypto for corruption, the law allows presidents to get unlimited "presidential library donations" from anyone, for example foreign entities, individuals seeking presidential pardons and corporations

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 hour ago

Yuge quantities

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

And other current bribes. They are now bribing less openly I'm sure. They've killed any oversight of bribery.

[–] kent_eh@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 hour ago

They've killed any oversight ~~of bribery.~~

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 28 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

This is what happens when you gut national-security training, scrub every mention of Islam, jihad, and Sharia from the manuals, and let Obama- and Biden-era bureaucrats turn counterterrorism into cultural sensitivity class. We’re being led by officials who no longer recognize or refuse to name the enemy they’re inviting into our own backyard.'

Wut.

[–] lectricleopard@lemmy.world 14 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

The dedication to the bit is really something. Not a single crack showing, just smooth plaster.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 3 points 8 hours ago

Thanks Obama.

[–] Pyr_Pressure@lemmy.ca 20 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Do you regret giving him a pass for that $200 million plane bribe?

[–] ultranaut@lemmy.world 1 points 28 minutes ago

That's about half the plane bribe, it's actually estimated to be around $400 million. There's also several billion more in Qatari bribes transferred via sketchy business deals involving Trump's crypto scams, golf courses, hotels, etc.

[–] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 210 points 20 hours ago (11 children)

Can you imagine how the right would react if this was done by a dem president? They may have actually started a civil war over it.

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 65 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

The article has a quote that literally blames this on Biden and Obama.

[–] 13igTyme@piefed.social 57 points 19 hours ago (5 children)

God damn people are fucking stupid.

"Twenty-four years after foreign nationals trained in our flight schools flew planes into our buildings, our leaders are inviting their financiers to train inside our bases. This is what happens when you gut national-security training, scrub every mention of Islam, jihad, and Sharia from the manuals, and let Obama- and Biden-era bureaucrats turn counterterrorism into cultural sensitivity class. We’re being led by officials who no longer recognize or refuse to name the enemy they’re inviting into our own backyard."

Wasn’t there a conspiracy theory about Obama or something opening foreign military base on US soil?

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 44 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

Jade Helm, back in '14/'15 was a massive military training exercise across the Southwest. We'd been saber rattling across North Africa and the Middle East for ages, so this was larger than normal but not inconsistent with US foreign policy. Just another day in the paradise of the imperial core.

But Republican influencers and spokesdorks jumped on it as an actual invasion of the territory being practiced over. Then several of the state governors chimed in, demanding that Obama halt his occupation of their states. We had a big rash of "Should Texas be allowed to secede?!" discourse. Obama issued an apology or some dumb shit. Republicans declared victory. Yadda yadda.

Well at least now we know the price of opening an airbase in the US for non-NATO countries

[–] lectricleopard@lemmy.world 4 points 12 hours ago

Bribes are much cheaper than doing it legitimately. Thats why they do it.

[–] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 68 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Qatar base? In Idaho?

Ok, now you're fucking with me. I don't believe any of you that this is real.

[–] But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world 21 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Wouldn’t that be the first and only foreign base in us soil? Trump really bent over and lubed up

It’s a Qatari Air Force base for Training.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 21 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago) (1 children)

Close ally to President Trump, Laura Loomer, lamented the news after advocating that the administration declare the Muslim Brotherhood an international terrorist organization.

"Well, I guess this isn’t going to happen since we just gave the Muslim Brotherhood an air base in Idaho. So much for my decade worth of hard work trying to protect Americans from the threat of Islamic terror," said Loomer about the new base.

Lololol

"No foreign country should have a military base on U.S. soil," she also said. "Especially Islamic countries. I have never felt more betrayed by the GOP than I do now watching Islamic jihadists get away with implementing Sharia law in the US and now they are getting their own airbase where they will train to kill Americans."

[–] FanciestPants@lemmy.world 6 points 12 hours ago

It's a weird feeling to be surprised by someone holding to a set of principles (surrounded by a party where any position can be compromised for cash/dear-leader/whatever's happening with Fetterman) even when those principles are disgustingly abhorrent.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 12 points 14 hours ago

LOL, "America First". More like FAFO.

The jagoffs that think that Taco gives a flying fuck about this country or anyone in it...

[–] salacious_coaster 93 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (5 children)

Really, never? Seems like he fucks over his people at least once a week.

This is what happens when you gut national-security training, scrub every mention of Islam, jihad, and Sharia from the manuals, and let Obama- and Biden-era bureaucrats turn counterterrorism into cultural sensitivity class.

Christ on sale, these people are stupid. The GOP-led Congress could pass a law called the Fuck Our MAGA Simps In Particular Act, signed by Trump, and they'd still blame Obama.

They don't feel betrayed at having Taco raising taxes and inflation and working on destroying the job market and access to health care....but this is where they draw the line.

[–] Rakonat@lemmy.world 5 points 12 hours ago

Did these fuckers forget that Obama killed Osama and was in the process of dismantling daesh when Trump took over and abandoned all that shit?

[–] Redditsux@lemmy.world 78 points 21 hours ago

This is fucking hilarious lol
