1990s:
The Panther weapon system, a trilateral development between Germany, France and Great Britain that began in 1991, was discontinued in 1993. The German model featured an extendable 12-metre mast on the chassis with the launch device for the PARS 3 LR guided missiles and the Osiris opto-electronic targeting and reconnaissance system.
