Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Why does Kash always look like he just figured out his entire life is a lie, and that even his own wife is an Israeli spy?

[–] criss_cross@lemmy.world 23 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

He looks like he’s in the middle of getting an enema.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

and trying to hide his enemerection

[–] RustyShackleford@lemmy.zip 16 points 3 weeks ago

Because it’s even worse than that, somehow.

I can't wait for that ugly fucking pug to spend the rest of his life in prison.

[–] FE80@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Democrats are so useless that they'll let him have his entire term as FBI director instead of fire him if they win the presidency in 2028. In fact they will probably preen about how not firing him is a virtuous example of the return of norms and traditions.

[–] possumparty@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 3 weeks ago

Unfortunately this is a fact, nobody will ever have any consequences for any of this.

[–] DrDickHandler@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago

"If we don't look for corruption, we won't find it.", says the most corrupt administration ever.

What do you expect when the president is a convicted felon who hasn't faced any consequences of being convicted as a felon?

[–] ysjet@lemmy.world 53 points 3 weeks ago

Once again, the headline gets twisted to the republican narrative,

Anti-corruption. It's an anti-corruption group. The GOP lawmakers are corrupt.

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 26 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Corruption for me, never for thee

-Republicans, essentially

Another president fond of coup d'état and authoritarianism! That was a fun read for me: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%93scar_R._Benavides

The only reason to remove organizations to help aid in dealing with corruption is to enable more corruption.

Trump really can't even pretend to hide his true intentions now. Fucking fascist.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 16 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Why should he? Nobody's doing anything to stop him.

[–] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

The rich love him, they aren't going to stop him. The people with higher levels of power stopped us from Trump getting any form of justice.

Hopefully he has a long, slow, painful ending.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I'll settle for any ending at all at this point.

[–] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

[monkeys paw curls] "Any ending? Bad ending it is!"

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 weeks ago

I meant what I said, paw!

Any fucking thing that they want to....

[–] dellish@lemmy.world 8 points 3 weeks ago

"Fires agents after they..."

In the article: "it is unclear if the agents were fired or reassigned."

Ffs, why put unverified information in the headline?? They're not doing themselves any favours.
