This is a community in the spirit of "Am I The Asshole" where people can post their own bans from lemmy or reddit or whatever and get some feedback from others whether the ban was justified or not.

Sometimes one just wants to be able to challenge the arguments some mod made and this could be the place for that.

Posting Guidelines

All posts should follow this basic structure:

  1. Which mods/admins were being Power Tripping Bastards?
  2. What sanction did they impose (e.g. community ban, instance ban, removed comment)?
  3. Provide a screenshot of the relevant modlog entry (don’t de-obfuscate mod names).
  4. Provide a screenshot and explanation of the cause of the sanction (e.g. the post/comment that was removed, or got you banned).
  5. Explain why you think its unfair and how you would like the situation to be remedied.

Rules

Expect to receive feedback about your posts, they might even be negative.

Make sure you follow this instance's code of conduct. In other words we won't allow bellyaching about being sanctioned for hate speech or bigotry.

Second of all, why the hell are you acting like there's a third choice between a Democrat and Republican? When was the last time an independent candidate came even close to winning? I don't need to prove that Biden opposes fascism. I just have to prove the other candidate would be more fascist. We only have two choices. This should be really simple. Pick the one that's less fascist. Why is this so hard for you? Are you unsure which president would cause a less fascist outcome between Biden and Trump? You just want to shoot people. You want people to die due to fascism. So that you can LARP as a revolutionary soldier. Listen if a violent revolution was going to be successful. Liberal democracy would have turned the USA into socialism by now. If you're going to start a revolution, you have to make sure you have more than 50% of the population on your side, at a minimum. Yes, do all of that! And vote! Voting is pretty easy compared to the other things on that list. Do what you can. Do all of them if you can. I don't like the Democrats. I don't like saying that we should support the Democrats. But the Democrats are right now the least fascist of the two parties that we have to pick between. Technically a "Wrecker" is someone who goes into communities to "wreck" them in some way. Alienate people from each other, disrupt cohesion and so on. Unfortunately hexbears tend to stretch that meaning in order to ban people who say things they don't like. For example they've labeled myself as a "wrecker" because I reject "leftist unity" (i.e. unity between marxist-leninists and anarchists). Don't take it too seriously, they just wanted to ban you from their comms, and that was the only excuse they could find because they don't like pro-electoral politic arguments.

Thanks for the detailed comment. I don't plan on taking it too seriously. The comments that weren't banned show that it isn't a serious place. At least I have a good reason not to interact with that server anymore. The only reason I comment there is in the hopes that some see the hypocrisy and get to a better place.
