Watched SG-1 first and couldn't handle the horrific downgrade.
I love how our first thought is the Enterprise theme. I loved it every time I heard it until it got changed.
Bojack Horseman theme was great each and every time I heard it.
The first time I heard enterprise intro I was like hell naw what is this trash. By time I got into season 2 I was vibing it hard. Then season 3 happened...
Just wait till you try to watch Charmed on a streaming channel (Pluto, Roku) and realize they changed the theme song. It's an entirely different song.
Side note: I've never seen the lyrics in writing, and always assumed that they were saying "I am the sun, I am the air." Y'know, cause they're magical.

In the original by The Smiths and the Love Spit Love cover (used in the show), the lyrics are both officially "son" and "heir", but the way they chopped up the song for the theme, they very well could have played on those being homophones such that the "theme" lyrics actually are "sun" and "air".
Basically backing up the premise of the show which was balancing magic and life.

At least that was always my take. Though I'd heard the original Smiths version before the show aired.
OTOH, The Craft ALSO used the Love Spit Love cover but without chopping it up, so maybe they assumed "sun" and "air" like most of us.

8th or 9th for me. 8th just feels epic. But I started Doctor Who on Netflix with Chris, so the 9th is nostalgic for me.
I also started with 9th, haven’t watched the original series yet. But I just got the first season so I’ll be watching it soon. I want to watch all of it.

Yeah but I’ve watched the whole series like at least five times.

Its basically the reason people think The Big Bang Theory is a good show. The brain makes stupid associations like "repetition = familiar = good = funny".
I'll toss in Babylon 5 for a recommendation.

I wouldn’t say it was my favorite, but I watched all of Suits and I fucking hated that theme. I couldn’t get up quickly enough to skip it.
Most of the songs in that show, I couldn’t stand.
Compare that to now rewatching Samurai Champloo and I can’t get enough of this theme and all the music throughout the show. Except that one lady doing the really weird singing that sounds really off key lol

The sitcom themes from the 70s and 80s are the dopest shit ever composed.
I only listen to it once during the show itself, then skip it every subsequent time. If I liked it enough on the first listen I'll add it to my playlist like any other song I like.
