Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

In his 26-page complaint, he has claimed that an elite group has launched a conspiracy to violate the Constitution. The entire complaint, which is more akin to a manifesto than a formal legal document, is presented in a single paragraph.

He has named Trump, the Federal Reserve, the National Security Agency, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the State of Israel, Elon Musk’s X-Corp, T-Mobile, and Warner Bros. Studios in court documents.

The people I tried to coup the country to put into power are secretly trying to violate the constitution to take over the country.

However, Chansley rescinded his support for Trump because the president refused to release the Epstein files.

Heh. Where's that person to spam the picture when you need them?

[–] SocialMediaRefugee@lemmy.world 24 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I love how he tossed t-mobile in there. "...my aunt Gladys, the guy who parks too close to my driveway, that kid who rides his bike on the sidewalk, the King of Spain, Papa Johns..."

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 22 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Where’s that person to spam the picture when you need them?

Just say their name three times.

[–] Hazmatastic@lemmy.world 9 points 6 months ago

Not them but

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 65 points 6 months ago (2 children)

y'all, i'm starting to think this guy might be a real weirdo

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 months ago

Top tip: if your doctor enters the exam room with face paint and buffalo horns, get a second opinion.

[–] ReverendIrreverence@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago (2 children)
[–] Cocodapuf@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago

That's the joke! Good job spotting it!

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 2 points 6 months ago

if you can't trust a seditious guy violating the flag code wearing a buffalo hide who goes on hunger strike because prison isn't fun to file a normal sensible lawsuit, where do you go?

[–] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 65 points 6 months ago (4 children)

Just let that sink in.

[–] andrewta@lemmy.world 31 points 6 months ago

26 pages in a single paragraph: perfect way to piss off my old English teacher

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 20 points 6 months ago

Paragraphs are woke.

[–] drunkpostdisaster@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago
[–] nova_ad_vitum@lemmy.ca 2 points 6 months ago

Small potatoes in this pile of insanity but I don't think "conspiracy to violate the constitution" is a valid cause of action so I'm guessing this will be summarily dismissed? Lol

[–] Brunbrun6766@lemmy.world 53 points 6 months ago (1 children)

"QAnon shaman sues Trump for $40 trillion and targets Musk, T-Mobile and Warner Bros in rambling lawsuit"

Don't change the title

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 3 points 6 months ago

It sounds out of a pulp 80s sci-fi novel.

[–] y0kai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 34 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (2 children)

So wait did he actually find a lawyer to represent this fantasy?

ETA: And does he have an actual legal grounds for a suit?

[–] normanwall@lemmy.world 47 points 6 months ago (4 children)

"...The QAnon shaman would also print a one-ounce gold coin, valued at $40 trillion, to pay off the country’s debts."

I'd guess he has no case.

He's either a fucking moron or trying to drum up publicity for something.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 29 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I'm starting to think the guy that dressed up like a shaman and participated in the insurrection attempt might have a screw loose.

[–] mmcintyre@lemmy.world 11 points 6 months ago (1 children)

More like, dressed up and called himself a shaman. I don't know any shaman that dresses like that. Then again, I also don't know any shamans..

[–] WanakaTree@lemmy.zip 11 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I do know a shaman. She does not dress like that

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 6 months ago

Well, she's missing out. Not too many occupations expect you to wear a seriously wicked get up like that!

[–] tal@olio.cafe 10 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

He’s either a fucking moron or trying to drum up publicity for something.

Not necessarily mutually-exclusive possibilities, I would note.

[–] tal@olio.cafe 5 points 6 months ago (2 children)

one-ounce gold coin, valued at $40 trillion

Trump was claiming that the reason that he wanted to stop minting the penny was because the metal was worth more than the value of the penny (while true, that's not where the real cost of the penny comes from; it's rather from the handling and processing costs). I assume that that was to pander to someone, so I'm wondering if maybe there's a segment of the MAGA crowd that's obsessed with the metal value versus face value of coins.

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 4 points 6 months ago (1 children)

he wanted to stop minting the penny

Whatever happened with that?

[–] tal@olio.cafe 4 points 6 months ago

kagis

Looks like it's going forward. 2026 should be the last year that the US mints the penny.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penny_(United_States_coin)

In 2025, the U.S. Mint announced a plan to end penny production after the 2026 production run.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 6 months ago

The hilarious thing is that these MAGA geniuses think that it costs 3.5 cents every time we use a penny, and that is obviously a bad deal, and Libz are too stupid and deliberately wasteful to understand that.

The MAGA Economists haven't figured out that it may cost 3.5 cents to manufacture it, but then it gets used millions of times, so the cost is amortized over those millions of uses, not just one.

The thing that will ultimately save us is MAGA's virtuosic incompetence.

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 2 points 6 months ago

Why not both

MAGA is fracturing and turning on itself. Some of them are waking up to the con of pedo Don

[–] thefluffiest@feddit.nl 17 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Are you calling them… woke!?

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 9 points 6 months ago

No, they're not cool, they've just stopped sleeping.

[–] GrammarPolice@lemmy.world 2 points 6 months ago

They're a QAnon user. This isn't a real own if you ask me

[–] Stalinwolf@lemmy.ca 30 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Well, I honestly can't say that's any more delusional than claiming to be a spiritually attuned being who answers the war cries of the Republican party. I've never seen a shaman more in need of a mushroom trip.

[–] Onsotumenh@discuss.tchncs.de 12 points 6 months ago (3 children)

Is it just me or did the ammounts Americans sue each other for rise an order of magnitude in the last few years?

[–] Master167@lemmy.world 4 points 6 months ago

Just another aspect of inflation.

You know what let's do it. Give him 40 trillion. Just end it already.

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 11 points 6 months ago (2 children)

No give him $40 trillion of Trump's personal money. Heck, pull it back to $40 million, that's probably about what Trump has grifted off the Presidency.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 5 points 6 months ago

He will never have $40 trillion, and he's got WAY more than $40 million.

This reminds me of Austin Powers when Dr. Evil demands one billion dollars in the past, and one million in the present.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Oh, he's grifted WAY more than that. He entered the presidency in 2016 DEEP in the hole, and emerged in 2020 as a billionaire.

A few weeks back, I read how Trump's personal businesses has profited well into the billions in just this current term alone.

40 Million? Those are amateur numbers, Trump is aiming for GOAT status among grifters.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 11 points 6 months ago

I’ll sue ya, I’ll take all you’re money, I’ll sue ya, if you even look at me funny!

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 11 points 6 months ago

Lol there is no ceiling for stupid

[–] SocialMediaRefugee@lemmy.world 9 points 6 months ago

That is going to make a LOT of lawyers' boat payments!

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 9 points 6 months ago

I mean I don't want this guy being the new musk but...

[–] Steve@startrek.website 7 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Ya know what, I kinda like this guy now.

[–] tal@olio.cafe 3 points 6 months ago

I see that someone has a bone to pick with T-Mobile.

[–] Rokin@leminal.space 2 points 6 months ago

I liked his interview with Channel 5.

[–] Glytch@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago

Bizarrely, one section in the lawsuit suggests that plots for... James Cameron’s Avatar were plagiarized from his own writing.

Qanon Shaman wrote Fern Gully?

[–] Missmuffet@lemmy.world 4 points 6 months ago

The girls are fighting

[–] Hermit_Lailoken@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago

It almost makes me retch every time this idiot is brought up. The fact that he is associated with shamanism is too much.
