Pretty garbage therapist if they're just taking $150 and not probing you to elaborate on "idk"

You're supposed to find the answer. I know this is a joke, but c'mon. There are absolutely bad therapists, but the number of people that think going to therapy and talking for an hour is the point is too damn high.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that therapy should be time limited and problem focused. Therapy is often talked about on social media like something everyone should be doing all the time and the normalization of that idea of therapy has crept into the wider popular discourse on the intervention. Therapy as a tool for self growth is different than therapy as a tool for continual self improvement.

I have a HRA that pays my out of pocket expenses up to my deductible.

My insurance pays my out of network therapist at 70%.

Then the HRA pays my therapist bill at 100%

I’m making ( I’m bad at math but I think this is right ) 70% of the cost of my therapist session each session.

The best part is it’s all on the up and up and legal because I checked so I didn’t end up with some wild tax situation.

Maybe the losing $150 part is what is wrong.
