Damn. I didn't realize it wasn't c\adhd till I saw your comment.
Because you're not really "done" - there's always something else you have to do next, and that's the fact which drains the euphoria out of me. If I could be "DONE” with most all responsibilities and have the time, energy, and ability to do virtually anything I felt like as I could when I was a kid, then I'd be happy as a pig in shit.
It's why I'm not competitive, it's only negative for me.
If I "win" it's like: ok cool, I finished.
If I lose it's like: of course you lost you're worthless and suck at everything.
That's not toxic though. Enjoying the completion of a project has to be some kind of wagie cope. Being proud of oneself for something one has just done strikes me as pretty backwards looking. The reward for completing a project is getting to start a different project. Always forward. The past cannot be changed and the future doesn't exist.
