The 1911 is a perfectly servicable weapon. If you are old enough to have fought at Iwo Jima or just like to show off. Or you're too broke for anything else.

According to fudds, getting shot in the pinky will knock down a horse. Don't ask me how that makes sense. It makes sense to fudds.

Apparently 1911's are really good for some competitions due to their heavier frame eating up a lot of recoil. It's mainly held back by the oversized caliber causing more recoil and reducing ammo count for the same magazine size.

There's a reason why 2011's (1911's chambered in 9mm) exist
