No, just the white people.

They just write off any show that meshes uncomfortably with their worldview as woke and don't watch it. Problem solved.

(to be fair, sometimes they watch it anyway, then bitch continuously like little snowflakes about how woke the show they chose to watch was)

Or watch it without catching any of the themes or subtext until it's literally pointed out to them. See: The Boys, the Colbert Report, Starship Troopers, or dozens of other examples.

They see themselves as the rule-breakers and protagonists, no matter how incoherent or ironic the setting versus themselves.

The US is a magical land founded on the shoulders of pirates and fugitive folk heroes, but also illegal immigrants have no business here. Honestly, its not the first part of that mythos I have a problem with.

They watched The Boys and cheered for Homelander. I'm gonna go with yes.

Nazis watch their nazi propaganda channels nearly 24/7. When they don't, they use a similar fantasy to "Pleasantville", it's called "The Hallmark Channel". Except, on the Hallmark Channel, everyone is in Black and White, and there's no black (or colored) people to be found anywhere.

That's all that's on their TV's. It's not exciting, it's boring like they are.

That's such a good scene. William Macy was great in that role.

I wonder if MAGA people are watching The Handmaid's Tale and rooting for Gilead. I bet they don't even understand that it's a dystopia, they see a pretty normal drama about a rebellious woman causing unnecessary problems.

Well... yeah, actually.
