I hope y'all realize this is from a comedy show from a pretty progressive team and doesn't mean a thing.
I hope you realize that that's even worse. Normalizing the acceptance of annexation is not OK, and when even the progressive crowd does it - that's just sad.

Come on, no one is saying that. But they need to at least acknowledge the mistake and apologize for it. Again, what's not okay is treating it as a normal occurrence, it's just a gift for russian propaganda then, "see, even leftist Americans know that Crimea belongs to russia" etc.
A show where they have literally hours to create the entire episode from nothing. Yeah, the graphics operator is going to search βUkraine outline.pngβ without clearing it personally with the ambassador first.
I hope they'll fix this by showing a map where the Russia is shown without Krasnodar Kray.
