"When Foreign Companies who are building extremely complex products, machines, and various other 'things,' come into the United States with massive Investments, I want them to bring their people of expertise for a period of time to teach and train our people how to make these very unique and complex products, as they phase out of our Country, and back into their land," the president posted on Truth Social, adding “I don’t want to frighten off or disincentivize Investment into America by outside Countries or Companies. We welcome them, we welcome their employees, and we are willing to proudly say we will learn from them.”
This rivals some famous youtuber non-apologies. This sounds more threatening and insulting than apologetic.
Bruh, if any of you are given an ultimatum, go to the US for work, or be fired, just quit your job. Don’t come here, PLEASE. I couldn’t believe how many Canadians I saw down at the Jersey Shore this summer. Don’t risk it, people, take a cruise for Christ’s sake.
"We want your money and we want your knowledge, but we don't want you."
"I don't want to disencentivise investment into America". But that's exactly what you did and you had no thought put into your actions except to catch more "illegals" and try to make an example out of a large corporation.
Nobody thought to use any brakes. Nobody knew that we could crash. At least inside of ICE and this administration.
My dad worked for a German company and he got laid off following this event. I am positive that this company is going to withdraw from the US market entirely over the next 6 months. Like, I doubt that even CEOs feel safe entering the country for official business at this point.
This one raid may have blown it for basically all foreign investment. It is so bizarre to just, like, READ it on a website, knowing that this ONE event is going to be the first domino to fall on a very dark chapter ahead. :/ I feel like I’m in the beginning credits montage of a zombie movie.
Like the alcoholic husband who says they won't beat their wife again .... saying it for the 20th time.
“Just a little fight with the wife, no big deal”
We always used to call PBR "wife fighting beer" back in college since it seems to be the most popular beer among wife beaters.
After this incident, Koreans (and hopefully others) will understand "phase out" to mean shackled and chained like prisoners, with the humiliation broadcast on DHS media channels.
Yeah what did you expect? Do you think that fucker is capable of even understanding that he did something wrong?
Not just South Korea, any foreign manufacturers operating in the US should assume these raids are coming as a negotiation tactic. They've made it clear: bring your people and IP, then get out and hand it over to the US.
Oh No! The consequences of my actions! Quick! Gallop away, Gishy!
TACO!
Were*.
Dissenting to fascism is no excuse for poor grammar.
Agreed. In troubling times like these, it is more important than ever that we stand up for our grammatical principles!
He's not writing an essay. Was instead of Were is less formal but not incorrect. It is accepted through common usage.
Ay, wassamata f’you, enh?
