Computer games with a strategic component; construction, expansion, armies, economic development. Discussion on all sub-genres (RTS, Grand Strategy, Economic Strategy) is welcome, but the focus is on generic strategy games and hybrid games that don't fit into the following communities:

Oh hell yeah. They won't release Black & White again so we'll just make our own!

Too bad about the mixed early reviews, hopefully they will fix many of these issues in early access. Some seem (graphical glitches, pacing, on-boarding) relatively easy to solve. I do hope they will introduce more free-form building placement.

If you look at the publisher's other titles there's a lot of mixed reviews and even a few mostly negative.

While that's true, I wouldn't consider the publisher's overall "ranking" to be a reflection of the developers' work. The publisher does have some releases (City Bus Manager, Rescue HQ - The Tycoon) which are very positive or mostly positive.

My point was it seems like a quality control failure of the publisher, seems very shovelware-y with the large amount titles, like they'll approve anything that can call itself a simulator game.

Not saying it can't ever be good, but maybe hold your money not your breath because it sure seems like nobody will hold them accountable unless there's a lawsuit.
