I like how they are immediately saying it was done by the left given the last 2 attempts on Trump were once MAGAs.

[–] SGforce@lemmy.ca 32 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They blame the left for those too

[–] Railcar8095@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Obviously. The fascist that tried to kill Trump are still left from MAGA.

[–] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

Personally I do hope it was someone on the left.
The only thing sadder than watching our democracy crumble under fascism is watching it go down without a fight.
When we're a Nazi dictatorship and decent people have to hide, the newer generations will ask what we did to stop it, and so far our only answer is:
"Not a goddamn thing"
Kevin Roberts said:
"The second American Revolution will be bloodless if the left allows it to be.”
I, for one, hope like hell we don't allow it to be.

They are even claiming the bullet casing had pro trans stuff.

"Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) blamed "hateful rhetoric from the left" for the killing."

Every accusation is a confession. I never cease to be amazed how universally this applies to conservative-led discourse.

There’ll be a battleship named the USS Charlie Kirk.

[–] AbouBenAdhem@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They’ll rename the Gulf of Mexico again.

[–] hddsx@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 month ago

The gulf of snowflake?

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 15 points 1 month ago

Cool story, bro. Where are the Epstein files?

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago

That is utterly moronic. MLK was much more heroic.

Fun not legal advice:

There are basically no laws regarding pissing on someone's grave or monument. It is instead usually under indecent exposure. But, depending on your hydration and kidney failure levels, urine looks a lot like tea or gatorade and, oh no, you stumbled while you were pressing F.

[–] whiwake@lemmy.cafe 9 points 1 month ago

Added: if you must actually urinate at the grave site (instead of a container), please consider one of those urinary leg bags—without the bag—because whipping your junk out in public is still a crime.

[–] Chainweasel@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

I'm going to start saying I'm "pouring one out for Charlie" every time I take a piss

[–] Kirp123@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I mean you can avoid the indecent exposure charges by just pissing in a bottle at home and dumping it where you want. Though I guess they could also get you on vandalism charges, not a lawyer so not sure how likely that is.

[–] dan1101@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Idiotic. They are trying to waaaaaay exaggerate this. I never heard of him before he got killed.

Comment in remembrance of Melissa Hortman

I’m all for this, so long as his plaque reads:

I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the second amendment to protect our other God-given rights. — Charlie Kirk
