I'm pretty sure trump doesn't need another minor maga death so soon after kirk. After all whatever trump does in response will have to be done again later. So they are probably saving Shapiro for later.

I'm so confused. Shouldn't he feel safe with security and being a "good guy" with a gun to protect himself?
I don't really get it. Are they scared that there is another good guy with a gun?
I do not want to normalize murder as a trump card in political discourse - not any further than the right has already mind you.
But I am enjoying seeing these hate mongers feel some of that turned back their way, in a very public manner. Having the outside world ‘cancelled’ for themselves for fear of assassins and high powered rifles. Always having to travel with security, constantly worried if their next organic street encounter will be with a genuine fan, or ‘a fan’ with a vendetta.
Tolerance paradox aside, I still condemn this though - because political assassination does not bode well in the immediate term, nor the long term if this kind of activity keeps repeating… it ultimately only leaves the most hardline and ideological voices on the soapbox.
This shooting has to shake some conservative commenters to the core.
Come on Ben, go stand up on a stage somewhere in public, go speak your mind since you love doing that. Don't be a fucking coward, go put yourself out there and keep spewing your hateful drivel.
I have yet to meet a Conservative who isn't a scared coward.
It’s literally their whole thing. I’ve even tried to explain it to them but they just say “I ain’t scared.” Oh so that’s why you cling desperately to your guns and your stereotypes? Total lack of fear.

One major difference between the Kirk shooting and that of the Minnesota legislators is that when Hortman was murdered, the rest of the Democrats still showed up to work.
Why? Because what Shapiro et al do isn't something they truly believe in, it's all a grift to make money. As soon as selling hate becomes too dangerous, they'll just pivot to selling crypto or some shit.
Every cloud has a silver lining. Except in this case the cloud is also silver.
