- he made a lot of people feel powerless with his manipulative debate tactics. People resort to violence when they feel powerless

- he was asked about mass shootings before being shot in public. Coincidentally, there was a high school mass shooting in Colorado the same day. It's almost like the trope where people test God's existence and get hit with a lightening strike

- We all have to be aware of and prepared for the risk of homicide whenever leaving the house
