Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

“The restaurants now are booming. People are going out to dinner where they didn’t go out for years, and it’s a safe city,” he told reporters just outside the restaurant. “We have a capital that’s very, very safe right now.”

Fucking bald-faced liars.

And my heartfelt thanks to the protesters.

Dude is walled in by guns and bulletproof cars. Even if DC was an active warzone it would feel pretty safe with a setup like this lol.

Fuck calling him Hitler, he was a Pedophile first. Ask him about Epstein.

Keep it going. Never let him get out in public free from this

I'm old enough to remember how butthurt the cons and Huckabee were over being denied a cheese plate.

Yes, I hope Taco gets the finger - metaphorically and literally - any time he sets foot in public without having a "vetted" audience.

Being compared to Hitler is not going to disturb him that much, I feel. He loves it.

Which means, add to your repertorie! Like, you can call him "Mr. Krasnov" as well.

[–] kbobabob@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

You think he'd really get it?

[–] lambalicious@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 3 minutes ago

A shame if he doesn't (you can always add "Asset Krasnov" for clarity) but then again we don't expect much mental acumen from his ilk don't we?

Just add more stuff to the repertoire.

Safer? There's a felon in the restaurant with an armed guard!

[–] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 23 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Hardly fair. I don't recall hearing or reading that Hitler was a rapist and pedophile.

[–] duhlieluh@lemmy.zip 9 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago) (1 children)

i do recall someone calling him a pedophile but theres probably more evidence against trumps case.

Theres a lot of pictures of Hitler around children and he did a lot of programs with them but I feel like if he was a pedo it would've come out after the war, no fucking way the Soviets wouldn't have shouted it from the rooftops.

[–] ubergeek@lemmy.today 2 points 2 hours ago

I dunno. Stalin had himself a child bride, of sorts.

[–] trager_bombs@lemmy.world 25 points 11 hours ago

If not shit, why smell like shit

[–] Sumocat@lemmy.world 22 points 10 hours ago

Was it a supporter?

[–] SGforce@lemmy.ca 13 points 10 hours ago

You'll make him blush

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 9 points 10 hours ago

Did he take it as a compliment?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 9 points 10 hours ago

LOL, watching Hegseth in that video with the eyes darting everywhere. Almost like he expects there to be a book depository nearby, with a window sliding open...

[–] Coyote_sly@lemmy.world 7 points 10 hours ago

I'm sure he was flattered.
