Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

They should call him a disappointment. That might actually hurt him since I'm sure he heard it from his father all the time.

[–] mister_flibble@sh.itjust.works 19 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Honestly yeah, he's a narcissist so disdain and mockery would hurt the most. Another simple but good option would be to get the biggest crowd possible to just straight up point and laugh.

[–] selkiesidhe@sh.itjust.works 3 points 5 months ago

Agreed. Hearing he's like hitler isn't going to make that orange buffoon sad. He idolizes hitler.

Yelling out that no one likes him, everyone around him is just there to use him, he has no actual friends, he's a disappointment to his parents, no one will mourn his death (also, tic tic on that clock, since he's so afraid of that), he's a loser and weird--- now THAT is going to bother him.

Rejection, being driven from office and solitary confinement would also hurt his narcissism.

[–] Zahille7@lemmy.world 49 points 5 months ago

Keep it up. Start going out into left field too.

Note that Hitler actually served in the trenches of WW1 as a corporal. Didn't claim he had "bone spurs" to get out of military service unlike SOMEONE ELSE.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 8 points 5 months ago (1 children)

When in certain aspects you're worse than Hitler...

One can only assume how many other aspects of Hitler he can surpass too

Well, we've seen Trump's shitty attempts at doodles, and Hitler's mediocre art. Adi wins that contest too.

And let's not forget that Hitler killed Hitler. That did the world a favor. I don't see Trump doing the equivalent.

I was told it's not impossible that Hitler and Tolkien were in opposite trenches in ww1. I want that to be true, so I haven't left checked it.

[–] PieMePlenty@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

They were both at Somme in 1916. Hard to say if they shot at each other but its a likely possibility they were close to one another at one point in time in history.

[–] Jarix@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

Ide like to visit the timeline where Tolkien Headshots Hitler in the trenches.

Just to see what would have been different(I likely wouldn't exist but I think that would be okay)

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

He was awarded the Iron Cross twice (Second Class once, then First Class). This was an honor seldom given to corporals. He was a messenger, and was said by his comrades to be weird, aloof, puritanical but fearless. Unlike Trump, at least he had one ball.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 months ago

Oh I don't know... Trump has balls. Just intermittently... on his face... smelling of vodka and shchi.

Poor little Shitolini. The literal worst person you could imagine leads this country.

[–] tgcoldrockn@lemmy.world 11 points 5 months ago

twice. . . twice.

[–] DrSoap@lemmy.world 28 points 5 months ago (3 children)

I'm really curious why the outing. It was obviously poorly planned if the protestors got access to him. Was he sundowning and it was a sudden thing? Was it to prove he was healthy enough to walk? Is it to show that he and vance are close so that when he inevitably takes over the office its a shot in the dark to make that go smoother?

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 18 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Read this morning it was to show how safe DC is now after sicking the army on regular citizens. Now the child rapist trump is all pissed off at his hand picked magat security team (he fired the real ones) allowing Pink to just rail him by yelling your the hitler of our time for what looked like a very long time. Heehee fuck the child rapist and anyone associated with him.

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago (1 children)

The protestors booked a table in the restaurant but were amazed to find it was right next to Trump's table, he apparently hadn't cleared it with them very well in advance or they'd have been prescreening nearby tables as the earpiece guys do.

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 months ago

If we are lucky maybe magat security with fuck up some more times ….

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 20 points 5 months ago

I bet Trump thanked them for the compliment.

[–] AmbientDread@midwest.social 13 points 5 months ago

Quick. Send in the Marines to fumigate that place once they leave to make it safe for other humans.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 13 points 5 months ago

He was probably stoked

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 12 points 5 months ago

More like trump being Mussolini and netenyahu being hitler

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

City is so scawwy! We need more national guard to protect me from free speech!

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 9 points 5 months ago

Whoever did this, thanks for telling the truth.

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 months ago (1 children)

So they brought him the vegetarian option?

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 months ago

Naw, his shout would be massively overcooked beef.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 months ago

They must have misunderstood, someone was probably shouting "Shitler."
