They talked about some Thiel funded dating apps that would match you based on genes on an old Trueanon ep. It would match you with people who didn't share any recessive genes for various genetic disorders. Obviously it takes a special kind of phrenologist to sign up for gene based dating though.

People are fucking stupid. I try to not give out sensitive information to corporations if it’s not needed, and dumbasses will see all the security breaches and indifference of companies and still voluntarily hand over data which fucks over everyone who doesn’t want to be on their databases because now we’re even more traceable.
FUCK OFF! Knowing you’re 10% Irish and 3% German will never make a difference in your pathetic life if all you do is eat McDonald’s slop and work 70 hours and can never be bothered to learn your history
Also you can fucking do it yourself with open source equipment and some uni databases and that's more fun. PCR ain't expensive and if you can't get that then just clone tons of cells like a fucking boomer.
Fun fact, even if you don't submit your genetic information to these places, it's relatively easy to figure out extended families to like 3rd cousins. They won't have your entire genetic profile but they'll have enough to probably ID you, it's how they figured out several cold murder cases.
