Literally signing a death sentence for many Americans.

Welcome to the News community!
Rules:
1. Be civil
Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.
2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
Meanwhile, the conservatives probably still quiver in fear over Obama's "death panels".
FFS.
The projection party at its finest.
I imagine a disgruntled patient watching Fox News in the waiting room of the ER in the only hospital in the county, thats closing in a week, "When Trump gets around to fixing health care, it's going to be great again."
How tiresomely predictable. The owners want the herd culled before the serfs become uppity.
It's stuff like this that should remind us that it's not just a race thing. It's a class thing too.
It's a race thing to distract from the class thing
It's a race thing to distract white ppl from the class thing
Ftfy
Well no big deal, that just forces doctors to not hand out a bunch of fancy vanity treatments that patients don't really need. Is it ever really necessary to just give poor people healthcare before a treatable issue turns into a chronic condition or becomes an emergency?
When I was 17, I had to rush my mom to the E.R. at a hospital almost an hour away bc we thought she was having a heart attack. Luckily, it turned out it was just her gangrenous gallbladder that she'd needed to have taken out for nearly a decade, but kept putting off bc she was afraid of missing work. That sure was a stressful drive for a teenager 😅 and one expensive ER visit and hospital stay bill (which I had to try to unsuccessfully negotiate), and she had private insurance.
In cases of legitimate necessary treatment, the human body has a way of shutting itself down to let you know.
I'm glad we've made America great again 🇺🇸🙏🦅
We're great again? News to me
Not a great headline, some may interpret it as limiting payments by low income people.
We knew this was going to happen, we said it loudly since the idea was presented. Hospital income is 30-60% Medicare and Medicaid payments, rural and critical access hospitals representing the majority of those on the 60% side of things.
This is why the last couple of months had seen a quiet wave of layoffs across hospitals. Anticipation.
There’s no charity aspect here, even with the so called “nonprofit” versions. They can and willcut staff to skeleton crews (in unregulated states), and even shut down, once corporate fails to achieve requisite profits. Most clinics/PCPs are owned by venture capitalists now, so those clinics can shut down too.
Expect access to medical care to decline each and every time MAGA touches Medicaid or Medicare.
Those poor overworked face-eating leopards are going to have a hard time keeping up with the effects of this one.

If they installed suicide booths it would cost $100. Free suicide would be woke.
So even more hospitals will shut down because they depend on this funding.
So very great /s
So much winning /s
Bunch of hospitals in my state getting close to shutting down, all in districts that voted heavily Trump. I feel bad for the anti-Trumpers out there... but most of the communities that are crying as they're also worried about this and losing their farms voted for him and this shitstick of a state government and my sympathy level is at the point of a Nelson laugh.
Trumpgenics
It has and always will be about the cruelty.
I am sure a whole lot of temporarily embarrassed multi-millionaires did NOT vote Democratic...
