I can feel the 720k through the screen.
I was disappointed when they moved from floppies to CDs. The floppies you could reformat and reuse for whatever you wanted. The CDs were just coasters.
And frisbees
My grandma hung them up outside to... do something, I don't really remember, keep squirrels away from birdfeeders maybe, something like that.
Well they could fit more free hours on the CD.
The cds were fun if you put them in your microwave
The floppies were only 720k; something but not all that much back then.
I remember them as HD floppies, 1.4MB. Maybe they were a later generation before they moved to CDs.
My half-brother is 20 and I was telling him that at my first IT job how I had to go around to every computer with a CD to install Office. His response, "oh, is that what CDs were for?"
But what am I supposed to do for the other 25 hours?
