Man just wants to grill!

Funny enough, we have evidence of concessions outside of Roman arenas selling pricey food that one imagines was not worth the cost, lmao. Smart man buys two tickets and brings his own lunch!

Also interestingly, there was an 'order' to the games held on most days, and people would leave and return according to the ones they wanted to see - with the midday being a kind of 'halftime' show that many people left for, and the afternoon being the gladiator games that packed the seats.

The Colosseum sat 50,000 people, there were definitely concessions being sold.

The order you speak of - first were the animal v. animal fights. Then the executions, this is where you get "people being thrown to the lions" kind of thing, brazen bull, all that kind of "creative" violence. Finally the gladiators.
