Harry Sinclair, the actor who plays Isildur, is good friends with Peter Jackson and was cast because Peter said he was the most corrupt-looking person he knew. Although he looked the part, Peter did not think he sounded it, so his one line was actually overdubbed by Elrond. Which is ironic, because Elrond is effectively talking to himself in the scene.

Infinitely better, I'd reckon. Really adds a whole new dimension to the character.
What other big movies have important characters who only have one line? The first that comes to mind is The Avengers (AKA Avengers Assemble) with the Hulk saying “Puny god”
