He's on track to become one, proper. With the right opportunities, i.e. car/team, he's a WDC to be, no doubt in my mind.

So, did Stroll hit anyone on his way out?

[–] espentan@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago

Haven't seen any punches thrown yet. Probably just resting his fists till after the sprint race.

Am I blind? It really really looked like Verstappen went outside track limits on his last lap of sprint shootout 3

They showed the replay, and the announcers acknowledged it, but no discussion at all about a penalty

The replay was from his previous, deleted lap. He put in another lap after that one, no?

His final lap looked out to me too, I was yelling at the TV 🀣 surprised it stayed, but it was on the hairy edge either way

Yeah maybe it was a previous lap. But we watched his final lap live, and it looked out of bounds

A great job from both McLaren drivers, happy to see them at the front even if it's just for the sprint. That understeer for Lando at the end of qualifying is worrying though. Hopefully that doesn't mean they cook their tires early like they have in the past.

35Β°C air temperature, with it probably being a few more degrees hotter inside the cockpits. Damn.

Excellent stuff by Piastri.

I wish I knew what times everyone was doing, even if it's just a warmup..
