I currently have a Pixel Pro 7, and I'm thinking that my next phone should be a Nothing Phone. But I'm willing to hear about other alternatives. I'm not ready to upgrade yet; I'm just thinking about the future.

The fairphone is a nice brand if you don't live in the US. if you do, I'm sorry.

crap-hardware, or did they goof on the software side?

Software. The specs are good. It’s hard to beat the iPhone’s software. I do hear really good things about Samsung though.

I hear good things ab samsung too, but the common complaint about the extra bloat has kept me away for some time now

Yeah, I’d prefer it if my OS would ask me about default software on first boot, but mobile OSes are really geared towards the lowest common denominator.

off the top of my head, base model gets a worse camera, but gains telephoto lens. the others focus more on the software side, but the software gains since the earlier tensors have been pretty marginal.
