Labour Day Weekend had a couple of great games, with Elks @ Stamps being a blowout. This week, the CFL's efforts to avoid Sunday games is very apparent, as I think it will be the rest of the way. I don't think I'm a fan of 3 games on Saturday, which is probably more of a pain in the arse for prairie and West coast folks. Seems like they'll usually do 2 on Friday and 2 on Saturday.
This week, I'm most looking forward to the battle for the East between the Ti-Cats and Als as well as the Banjo Bowl (Riders @ Bombers) that either team can win.
I learned something about CFL rules this week. I didn't realize play is stopped at 3 minutes to HT or end-of-game (or maybe any quarter) for a TV commercial break. I also didn't realize that after the 3 minute mark, timekeeping switches from 'running time' to 'stopped time' (in other words: from the timer continues between plays to the timer is paused between plays).
