Yeah this scene scared the hell out of little me when I first saw it.
Those invisible blue aliens that transformed Geordi got me worse though; legit nightmare fuel those things.
For me it was the aliens who abducted Riker and other crew. The scene where they're on the holodeck recreating the abduction and they add the clicking? Fuck that.
I honestly can't think of many deaths that are as graphic as this either. Ignoring the exploding admiral in season 1 anyway. This really does stick out

Seriously, you'd think they'd come up with a way to move from one place to another faster than by foot. Like a ... transporter or something.
That would be crazy, right? Creating a transporter would have all sorts of problems, like how do you transport someone without sending a clone and killing the original?
