MODERATORS

You only had one job. One ‘patriot’ painted their St George’s Cross spectacularly wrong, inverting the colours, leaving their decorative roundabout with a more Scandinavian feel. In the excitement of national pride that has reached fever pitch in recent days, one Englishman accidentally pledged their allegiance to Denmark. Drivers near the Newton Farm roundabout in Hereford may have been a bit confused while passing the Danish flag (Picture: SWNS)

About average for a flag shagger I suppose.

Flag shagger sounds very good. I’m keeping this one in mind.

I'll be honest. It looks more swiss to me.

[–] lime@feddit.nu 20 points 6 days ago (1 children)

swiss cross doesnt touch the edges

[–] BrokenGlepnir@lemmy.world 14 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I know, but the danish cross feels less centered. It feels like a bad one of both.

so... an inverted english flag

[–] BrokenGlepnir@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Sure, but it's also a thick butt cross. It could be on one of those thicc moe communities here. It's got some chonk.

i can tell from your french exclamation mark that you are an expert on the region

[–] Arioxel@jlai.lu 1 points 5 days ago

And I feel that it reads better with this added space, but my auto-correct does not comply

The French use a space before exclamation marks? Huh. TIL!

I especially like that they're wearing masks with the correct configuration. They could have just looked at eachother and realised something wasn't right.

For that one I think it's a little bit more than "something". More likely it's "everything"

The patriots are not sending their best.

[–] Palerider@feddit.uk 15 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Half the Union Jack's tied to lampposts round here are upside down... That's how patriotic they are.

[–] Susaga@sh.itjust.works 4 points 5 days ago

No, I think they are.

Speaking as a Dane, you guys can have the racist idiot back if he's anything like most nationalists..

Or perhaps you should show up and demand gold from them.

Good point! Got a longboat and crew I can borrow?

Balaclava and exposed tattoos. Bunch of geniuses.

[–] obinice@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago

Flag shaggers aren't known for their high intelligence...

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 days ago

It's always the nationalists that know nothing about the nation they pretend to protect

Idiots

[–] Cris_Color@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago

Rarely do you see something more fitting for this comm 😅

[–] als@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 6 days ago

Wait till they find out that St George was born in what is now Turkey

[–] GreyShuck@feddit.uk 8 points 6 days ago

In the excitement of national pride

Read that as excrement at first. Then realised that it's probably quite fitting.

[–] woelkchen@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago

Probably in solidarity with Denmark against Trump aggression.

It looks more like a Savoy cross than Danish.
