I rarely get games on launch, but you can often get these at a discount on sites like Fanatical months before release. They definitely had the deluxe edition like 20% off months ago to pre-order.
Haha, why on earth would anybody pay so much actual, real money just to rent a remake? 😂 Gaming industry has totally lost its mind

I'm not buying this just because Konami can get stuffed. They canned Kojima then rereleased his greatest work.

No, $70 for the license to play a remake.
Sounds petty, but... yeah, important distinction. You don't actually own any game on Steam. They even have to explicitly make that clear at checkout now.
