As someone that struggles to get calories this is more inspirational than you'd think

I'm so jealous of people who have to hit minimums. I have the worst time controlling my intake.

The only upside is that others look at you and think you're healthy. I don't think eating more than your body wants is any easier than eating less.

This has inspired me to work on my grindset until I, too, can time travel.

They made a movie based on this. It's called "Safety Not Guaranteed" and it was OK given the premise.

I am very intrigued about this.

Where is this from? It looks like an 80's game.

[–] 5765313496@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago

It was a YTMND meme.

And then someone made a movie on the same subject.

Let me know if you have any more questions about YTMND memes from 2005!

The quote is from a classified ad from 1997. Here's the wiki page on it.

They also made the idea into a film. I quite enjoyed it

I'm actually learning to time travel. Still not perfect. It often takes me seven days to travel a week into the future but still

Wait... Is your mind just traveling back as your past self, or are you just traveling back in time as your fat self? Because one is just having memories, and the other is just you fat but back in 2023.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 37 minutes ago

or your past self switch places with your future self.

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

pfft dude you can't travel back as your past self your brain is already in your head it would explode

@The_Picard_Maneuver@piefed.world

Why did you have to go and make this personal?

...Now where did the rest of those donuts go?

How did the skin colour change?

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 47 points 12 hours ago (2 children)

we brown people get darker during summertime

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 56 points 12 hours ago (3 children)

That makes no sense, there's more light during summer, you should get lighter not darker.

Right you are, Ken.

[–] DarthFreyr@lemmy.world 21 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

There's more light during the summer because it all leaves the people, duh.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 11 points 11 hours ago

Leaves don’t leave until fall.

[–] andrewta@lemmy.world 6 points 11 hours ago

I actually thought you were serious for a moment

[–] KazuyaDarklight@lemmy.world 8 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

Pretty starkly different light between the two shots, and seasonal tone differences.
