Remember when Saudi Arabia chopped a journalist into little pieces? I feel like they should be on the list

I mean, the USA basically went to fight Afghanistan for 9/11, while staying best buds with Saudia Arabia. Like, not like the Taliban were good guys by any means, but as far as 9/11 goes, that wasn't their fault.

I mean given osama going into afghanistan was not so crazy. Going in and not trying then going whole hog into iraq. Now that was crazy stupid.

Jet fuel can't melt Saudi sanctions

I am curious as to what this means materially. Like, if you have one sanction that encompasses 80% of your economy, that's more than 5 sanctions that each encompass 1% of your economy.

Is current Russia more excluded from the global economy than Iran or North Korea? What is this graph saying?

Sanctions are done on an individual country basis and seperate sanctions can cover individual resources or groups (eg: electronics)
