Some people say upvoting does not have an impact on the post's or comment's ranking, only boosts do. Others say that's not correct and upvotes do the same thing like they did on reddit.

What's correct?

Here's how I see it.

Upvote: Similar to reddit upvote, I upvote content that I enjoy, or is quality.

Boost: Counts as two upvotes, and reposts the content on your own feed. For content I really enjoy, or I want to save and easily come back to (I'm partially using "boosts" as a saved list, until saved functionality ever comes to kbin.
