No normal person will spend that much on a handheld gaming device when they can build a desktop with more performance for the same.
Those two devices are not at all comparable.
Those people are called "parents".
Gaming phones are a thing, compare it to that, Asus ROG phone 9 is USD 1000, from there it's not a huge jump, only +70%, but you get a 3d screen and better performance.
